Radhika Seksaria to present her latest collection of work titled NAFS - The Soul - The hidden face of God From 1st-30th September, 2022.
After 2 decades of working as an artist and exhibiting across the globe in the United States, London, UAE, and India, artist Radhika Seksaria has reached a new phase in her career. She finally feels it’s now time to slow down, interact and engage with patrons one-on-one and create a tranquil place to exhibit her work. To this end, Radhika launched her art gallery in South Bombay with an open invite to aficionados to book an appointment to watch her paint.
In her latest offering NAFS - The hidden face of God, Radhika beautifully Captures the mysterious ways in which the soul works and gives us direction. The work speaks to us in such a way that she helps us understand how at times our soul may be lost in the wilderness and how we can retrace our steps and once again come to know who we are. She uses a more abstract form of art in her latest offering that lands itself more easily to multiple interpretations by the viewers. The paintings are characterized by a unique combination of vibrant colors, simplicity and flow.
The paintings of Iranian artist Freydoon Rassouli are what inspired her latest. The way his work blends both light and darkness, male and female, negative and positive. His fusionart brings all of these opposites together in a single piece where people from all walks of life can coexist with love and respect.
She similarly explores and expresses her own, unique path of perception that stems from the duality of life, blending both positive and negative energies. She has an unusually unique approach to painting where she goes into a deep meditative state and chants before she begins work on any canvas. 'When I paint, I'm completely lost in the moment. The process is such a release for me – I've had a long day and simply need to let go. I chant before starting so that my work is imbued with peaceful and positive vibrations.
No wonder Radhika's paintings are filled with an inner energy that is profound, soulful and deeply moving. Her works explore the mysteries of life and death. From the poignant to the profound, her work is a gateway to inner peace and tranquility.
Meanwhile, just like Radhika’s collections, the gallery, too, is a space to ‘ruminate’ in ‘sukoon’, and absorb the beauty and unhurried pace of life. And, if viewers wish to have a short guftugu with the artist, all they have to do is make a prior appointment. Radhika Seksaria’s gallery is testimony to the fact that peace and love need not always be found in the mountains or on a remote island. Sometimes you may just find them around the corner, closer home than you think!
